Bridge To The World Of Music

After two years from publication of their first CD with name "Inspirations" comes Accordion Orchestra Amandolo with second CD "BRIDGE TO THE WORLD OF MUSIC". Through this CD orchestra would like to lead its listeners around fantastic world of the music, assembled from all over the world. You would start in America, then continue through Cuba, Russia, Dalmatia and Argentine as long as you finished in Ireland. Accordion orchestra AMANDOLO was started in January 1993 at a Music school of Peter Michal Bohúň in Dolný Kubín as a brainchild of Viera Vrtichová, its current art manager and conductor. Nowadays there are 39 members of the orchestra. The number of the orchestra members varies from year to year, depending on the number of the students of the school playing accordion. There are also synthesizer, bass guitar, drums and percussion, flute and piano players among the members of the orchestra. The orchestra has performed on numerous occasions in Dolný Kubín as well as in other Slovak towns including educational concerts for children and young audiences, promenade concerts or even evening gala concerts.
