Alap Desai has been born in an illustrious musical family. He has learnt tabla under the tutelage of Shri Datta Yende and then Ustad Allarakha Khan Saheb & singing from his parents Ashit & Hema Desai.He has now branched out into composing, arranging and singing. Having carved a niche for himself in the field of theatre,ballets, television & Gujarati music, he now presents PEHCHAAN- his debut Hindi Ghazal album for the discerning listeners.
