This album is selected from almost 25 Years of previously unreleased material.

Most of the tracks breathe a strong cinematic feel, combined with mostly melancholy compostions led to the title 'Scores from Mindmovies'. Some remarks about the tracks: 1. features only an E15 and a S330 Roland sampler and mostly DCC recording. 2. All sounds were handcrafted on this track, not any presets used. The sample "they're supposed to fight us" is from George Bush senior. 3. All rhythm samples here were handmade, like a rubber hammer to the wall, falling wood, etc. 4. Features a South African female singer, singing about her new life. 5.* Featuring Whale/Starr (Guitar), and Lucky Bee (Vocals), Isaac Asimov (spoken word taken from the interview with Bill Moyers: World of ideas). 6. An exact remake of a track descending from 2006, now featuring handplayed celli. 7. The oldest track on the album, hence the noise ;-). I always have had a certain love for piano in deserted places, and I still do. 8. Samples taken from a scientific Discovery episode about meditation and music. 9. Requiem for my dear brother Marco, who passed away early 2002. He loved aircraft, ambient and classical music. 10. Using only an Akai S2000 sampler, composed to boost someone emotionally in less than 3 minutes. 11. Rhythmicly singing birds accompany a mellow futuritic sound which one could hear lying in a sunny afternoon meadow. 12. Samples from building the CatharijneStudio and a brass band recorded in the centre of Utrecht. 13. The wind noise you hear is a recording from the elevator shaft of a 23 story building. 14. Inspired by Ennio Morricone's Cat People theme from the 90's. 15. A gentle and warm bell theme for those who would like to nestle themselves in. I hope you enjoyed the music.ALL TRACKS WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY BERNIE BORKENT. ALL INSTRUMENTS PLAYED BY BERNIE BORKENT UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE.© BORQUE MUSIC 2014 bernie.borkent@gmail.com +31 654670588
