Archetype of the digital culture, creative insatiable and prophet of the technology to the service from music, Carlos Vaso has returned to synchronize his machinery of sonorous design to finish VOX, the most unpredictable and surprise album of this band. If in 2003, Azul Y Negro surrounded to all the Spanish musical scene with its releasig of the first disc in surround 5,1 - ISS-, now he pretends doing a radical turn to his style, surprising ears expert neophytes and music lovers with a revealing formula of pop, voice and electronics VOX, the new Azul y Negro´s work, supposes a break of artistic trajectory and a skillful course change towards a territory nonexplored by the band - the joint of deep and stirring lyrics. Carlos Vaso, leader of the project, argues that “There are many songs with lyrics in my works, but this time, I have gived a greater protagonism and density to this ingredient, cooking it with prescriptions that I considered totally new”. And it is that, when listening this new material, is perceived immediately an extreme gentleness in the lines of voice, with passages that exhibit a luxurious repertoire of effects and exclusive processings, that are not inferior nor hides the authentic message of the songs. The subtle use of vocoders, used as harmonyzers of voices, they unfold a unknown brightness and a wealth in other works ofAzul Y Negro. The extra contribution of lyrics in English and penetrating chorus generates in the listener pleasant legend memories like The Beatles or Supertramp The second formula of VOX success is in the use in profusion of the electric guitars, with skillful interpretations on a big collection of classic models. “Our disc demonstrates many hours of recording and investigation to obtain these drawings of cords”, so we can assure a benefit guaranteed to our public, with a production that makes honors a the high expression of the guitar ".
