My Piazzolla

Ástor Piazzolla is a maverick of Argentinian music. He has created an unmistakeable style which unites tango - the music from Buenos Aires which is both melancholic and passionate - with elements of jazz and classical music. His compositions are only partially written down for piano. They have been arranged by Ms. Pillado following the example of improvisational freedom set by Piazzolla himself , bringing into action her virtuosity and rhythmic power and using the instrument’s possibilities of polyphonic voice splitting with a big pianistic sound.
