New Cheeno album - 2 Face Macy - Profound alternative rock with powerful vocals

The second Album from the German outfit CHEENO again goes strong with profound alternative rock which is getting down very heavy from time to time. Here you will be enjoyably reminded of The Gathering as well as Lacuna Coil. Ambitious but still catchy and rocking CHEENO cover a wide musical range not at least because of the impressive voice of front vocalist Jennie. Along with the album a comic book will be released which tells the story of "2 Face Macy" with distinctive illustrations done by Julie Keene who also contributed the artwork for the previous album "The Next Step Will Be The Hardest". Again, this album is based on a very critical lyrical concept dealing with a society with diefferent faces which results in the question: Isn't there a Macy in everybody of us? Anybody who is into one of the bands mentioned above will surely enjoy this records. CHEENO fans can buy this album without hesitation. Available as CD+Comic pack and as usual jewelcase CD. Good to know facts: - Alongside with the album a comic book illustrated by artwork artist Julie Keene will be published with the background story for "2 Face Macy". - The album was recorded at SU2 studios by CHEENO guitarist Phil Hillen (who also recorded Powerwolf, The Vision Bleak, The Parachutes, Vendetta, Autumnblaze). - Vocalist Jennifer Kloos also performed for "Konzerthaus" in Dortmund (Salto Vocale) and with the Munich Symphonics (Circus meets Classic) Short bio: CHEENO was founded by live and studio musicians of "Autumnblaze", a band which released 6 CDs worldwide via Prophecy Productions / Soulfood and played four full tours throughout Europe (among others, with Oceansize, Antimatter, The Vision Bleak). Along with Jennie Kloos, an experienced vocal soloist who previously performed for various big projects (such as the Munich Symphonics – Circus meets Classic) and for different TV- and advertisement productions (including Star Search Germany, TUI and the "Deutsche Kinderkrebsstiftung"), they formed their band in August 2005. CHEENO was born. One month after the first rehearsal sessions, they joined their former label mates Klimt1918 (IT) on their tour through Germany and The Netherlands. By the end of 2005, CHEENO had already won several newcomer contests and at the beginning of 2006, the band published its first EP "try to rescue". In 2006, CHEENO competed with 800 bands to be nominated for the "German Rock and Pop" award. The band got in effortlessly and was finally awarded "Best Alternative Act 2006" with their song "Silizium". In addition to explosive Rock shows, CHEENO started playing special unplugged sessions in 2007 that sold out completely. In summer 2008, CHEENO signed a worldwide record deal with Prevision Music, a sub division of Supreme Chaos Records to release their first full length album "The Next Step Will Be The Hardest" which received overwhelming reviews. All shows that followed the record release back up the quality of the album. Also, the concurrent book release met the fans’ approval. At the end of 2009, CHEENO focused on writing songs for the successor "2 Face Macy" due out in Mai 2010 – once again with illustrations by Julie Keene who also finished the work for a comic book which will be released at the same time.
