Six Duets for Bassoon

This is the first recording of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach’s Flute Duets played on historical bassoons. Initially composed for two flutes or equal sounding instruments these six duets go beyond the scope of the traditional way of baroque composition because of their length and exceptional composition technique. Bach’s compositions combine ingenuity, harmonious and formal elegance.
