Theesink's tiefe Bassstimme und Terry Evans variablere Stimme ergänzen sich fantastisch. Was meiner Meinung nach der hervor-stechendste Aspekt dieser wunderbaren Aufnahmen ist, ist der Gesang. Einfach absolut herrlich!! Insbesondere wenn das Gesangstrio Evans, McCuller und Greene jr. im absoluten Delta-Feeling ihre Background vocals einbringen schwebt der Hörer ganz weit oben im Gedanken bei all den Deltablues Legenden.

For this latest collaboration, Theessink and Evans returned to LA, with clear objectives - lock down the groove, create the mood, and deliver the wonderful, stripped back blues of their forefathers. They succeeded with style.
The thirteen tracks include five Theessink originals, plus a varied mix of mainly well-known blues songs, impeccably performed, with an interesting twist. Blues purists and other true music fans should savour the sheer intimacy of these expressive, timeless songs.
