GURBANI 'Pir Dekhan Ki Aas' ie 'Hope to see the dear one' is his album of unique shabads in his unique voice. Ragi Gurcharan Singh Ji is such a Ragi of Sikh world that has a golden voice and whose overwhelming training in classical music spills out in his singing.He was born in Sarvarpur in district Ludhiana of Punjab. His grandfather Bhai Heera was an eminent Ragi of the Sikh world.At the age of ten, Ragi Ji became a disciple of Khan Sahib Akhtar Hussain, the court musician of Maharaja Patiala and got a thorough training in Khyal Gaiki. After that, he got the training in Gurbani Kirtan from Professor Darshan Singh Ji ‘Komal’. After performing Gurbani Kirtan at a number of Sikh stages in India and abroad, he first settled in Kenya, Africa and later on settled in England, where he lives now.
