Shades of Bamboo

Sameer Rao, one of the most promising and prominenet disciples of Padmavibhushan Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia ji began his training at the age of 11. Trained by Pandit ji himself in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara at Vrindaban Gurukul, Mumbai, Sameer has performed extensively in India and Abroad. Shades of Bamboo is Sameer's first fusion album. All eight compositions are composed and performed by Sameer. The other contributing artists are Adarsh Shenoy on Tabla, Sangeeth Thomas on Keyboards, Vinay Rangadhol on Rhythm Pad and other Percussions.
