After some stellar remixes, this Australian artist releases his debut EP.
After making a splash on the blogging world and building a steady internet following with a solid collection of remixes, the producer and DJ known as Snapdragons has just dropped his debut EP of originals.
The EP, entitled ‘Hopes and Aspirations’ is an intriguing collection of songs with often quite dark lyrics shaping the creative and diverse collection of tracks that the Adelaide based producer has offered up. The energy and creativity is evident throughout the EP, from the fast paced opener (serving as a salute to punk bands and their songs of misplaced youth), to the hypnotic chorus of the title track and to the relaxed indie dance vibe of 'Volar Conmigo Señora'. Hopes and Aspirations also has two included remixes, adding fresh elements to the EP, such as the club friendly version of 'Signs' provided by synth pop band Streetlight Symphony.
