Tobacco Road Blues Band and Tomislav Goluban
With "Malo Gore, Malo Dole" the Carinthian Tobacco Road Blues Band has released a song with a Croatian chorus for the first time."We have been“, explains Peter Prammerdorfer the story of the song, "very good friends with the Croatian blues harmonica player Tomislav Goluban for many years. He has invited us to gigs in his home country several times and vice versa he was also often a guest on our stages.“ On their new album, which the TRBB presents on March 21st at the Eboardmuseum in Klagenfurt, there is the song "Sky High Crazy", on which Tomislav plays the harmonica. "And because our friend will support us musically at the presentation concert, we came up with the idea of at least partially giving the song Croatian lyrics," says Mike Diwald. "Tomislav was immediately enthusiastic and texted the chorus "Malo Gore, Malo Dole", which means "A little up, a little down."Last week, the Tobaccos performed in Sesvete, a small town just outside Zagreb, and played the song live for the first time. "We were quite nervous; you never know exactly how it will be received by the locals if you use their language just about passable," laughs Prammerdorfer. The fears were unfounded: "People just loved it and at the second chorus the audience of the "jazz caffe forum" sang happily along with us," says Diwald. And of course the four Tobaccos hope that the new song will also be well received by the Croatian radio stations.
