Traspié www.traspiemusic.net combines current electronic sounds with the saxophone, and experiments with various music styles, instruments (Bandoneon, Double Bass, Guitar, Violin), voices and languages, in reflection of the variety and changeability of contemporary Tango music. Traspié is a band that approaches music from popular as well as from academic culture. Petek and Thompson avoid to define their music as something static, rather they understand it as a result of constant movement. The duo works with participating musicians and artists from different cultural backgrounds (artists from Austria, Poland, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Colombia take part) to explore a wider range of possibilities.
